We work professionally with high-quality clays and glazes, use a Rhode kiln, and provide four
\npottery wheels in a studio where up to 10 participants can work on their projects at the same time.
\nAll common ceramic techniques are taught: from hand-building (including larger objects and
\nsculptures) to wheel-throwing, as well as the use of ceramic finishes such as engobes and glazes.<\/p>\n

professional painting & drawing classes with a visual artist<\/h2>\n

Painting: Learn to perceive color, mix colors, and confidently handle paints and tools. We work
\nwith oil, acrylic, and gouache.
\nDrawing: Explore materials and techniques, composition, basics of perspective, shading, and
\nspatial representation on a flat surface. Subjects include still life, landscapes, portraits, and the
\nhuman figure.<\/p>\n

drum workshops & sound art \u2013 rhythm in harmony with the heartbeat<\/h2>\n

Stephan Makievski transforms the percussive sounds of didgeridoo, flutes, handpan, and various
\ndrums\u2014played during a workshop\u2014into a living, breathing entity. It beats its wings, growls, howls,
\nsings, cries, and laughs, weaving participants into a cocoon of sound from which they emerge as a
\nnewly unified body of resonance.
\nIt is an invitation to pause, to listen, and to reconnect with oneself\u2014while opening up to others and

Herzlichen Dank f\u00fcr die zwei Tage bei Euch! Natalia hatte uns ja vorgewarnt \u2013 Suchtpotenzial! Aber Ihr habt mir viel mehr gegeben als diese \u201eSucht\u201c\u2026 Ich denke, in dem Wort \u201eSucht\u201c steckt es wohl drin, die \u201eSuche\u201c, die mich zu Euch f\u00fchrte. Bei Euch bin ich f\u00fcndig geworden.<\/p>\n

Sei es die (R\u00fcck-)Verbindung mit der Erde, mit einer Ahnung von einem in mir verborgenen Talent, das herauswollte, dem sch\u00f6pferischen Ausdruck, dem Sein.<\/p>\n

Ich durfte ein St\u00fcck \u201eKind-Sein\u201c erleben \u2013 sei es mal wieder freudig \u201ematschen\u201c zu k\u00f6nnen, aber auch etwas Neues zu erleben, unschuldig und unbedarft mit eben dieser Qualit\u00e4t an Freude, die Kinder haben, wenn ihnen etwas gelingt (oder auch am \u201eMisslingen\u201c und nochmal neu beginnen\u2026) und in sofern hast Du, Natalia, auch wieder Recht behalten \u2013 auch wenn ich der Meinung bin, dass nicht nur die Zeit stehen bleibt und man nicht altert, wenn man in diesem Flow ist, sondern viel mehr die Zeit \u201espringt\u201c und man verj\u00fcngt bei Euch hinausgehen kann.<\/p> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Thank you so much for the two days spent with you! Natalia had warned us \u2013 addictive potential! But you gave me much more than this “addiction”\u2026 The word addiction suggests a craving for something you are looking for, like the search that lead me to you. And I found it here. Be it the (re-) connecting with the earth, with a sense of a hidden talent within me that wanted out, the creative expression, the being. I could experience being a child a bit \u2013 whether it was at times happily playing in the mud, or also experiencing something new, innocent and unaffected with exactly that quality of joy that kids have when they succeed at something (or fail and start again\u2026) and so, in this regard, you, Natalia, were right again \u2013 even if I think that not only does time stand still and you don’t age when you are in this flow, but rather that time “leaps” and one departs from your place rejuvenated.<\/p> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Ein Ort der Begegnung, Kreativit\u00e4t und professionellen Anleitung. Das Atelier Mckiev ist f\u00fcr mich ein ganz besonderer Ort \u2013 funktional, lebendig und offen f\u00fcr Menschen aus aller Welt. In den Kursen trifft man auf eine bunte Mischung internationaler Teilnehmer:innen, es wird in verschiedenen Sprachen gesprochen, gelacht und in den Pausen oft etwas Leckeres geteilt. Natalia, die Inhaberin, ist nicht nur eine erfahrene Lehrerin, sondern auch eine professionelle K\u00fcnstlerin. Sie unterrichtet mit Klarheit, Struktur und Geduld \u2013 ganz gleich, ob man gerade erst anf\u00e4ngt oder schon Erfahrung mitbringt. Man f\u00fchlt sich immer willkommen und ernst genommen. Mein pers\u00f6nliches Highlight sind die Aktzeichen-Wochenenden: Zwei intensive Tage, in denen man nicht nur unglaublich viel lernt, sondern oft auch richtige Werke entstehen. Diese Wochenenden sind konzentriert, inspirierend und sehr erf\u00fcllend \u2013 jedes Mal ein kleines kreatives Abenteuer. Nachdem ich bereits \u00f6fter an dem Schild “McKiev – offenes Atelier” und den tollen Keramiken im Schaufenster vorbeigegangen war, hatte ich mich vor mehr als drei Jahren endlich dazu entschlossen, die Arbeit mal Arbeit sein zu lassen und mich f\u00fcr einen Keramikkurs anzumelden. Heute kann ich sagen, dass dies tats\u00e4chlich eine der besten Entscheidungen war! Ich habe beim Schaffen der verschiedensten Projekte nicht nur enorm viel \u00fcber Keramik, Perspektive, die verschiedenen Materialien, etc. gelernt, sondern auch viel \u00fcber mich selbst, und irgendwie das Leben. Ich kann diesen Ort wirklich jedem empfehlen! Au\u00dferdem sind dort stets sehr, sehr nette Menschen anzutreffen, die einem mit so viel Herzlichkeit und W\u00e4rme begegnen. McKiev ist ein Ort, an dem Kreativit\u00e4t nicht nur ein k\u00fcnstlerisches Zuhause findet, sondern auch ein menschliches. Beides auf hohem Niveau und das f\u00fchrt dazu, dass das Beste in einem entstehen darf. Einen Keramikkurs wollte ich urspr\u00fcnglich machen – zur Erg\u00e4nzung meiner Kunsttherapeutischen Weiterbildung, und weil ich “schon immer” Keramik machen wollte. Und dann konnte ich nicht mehr aufh\u00f6ren… Natalia ist nicht nur selber eine gro\u00dfartige K\u00fcnstlerin. Sie hat die F\u00e4higkeit, konstruktives Feedback zu geben, und sie verbindet ihre Anleitungen und R\u00fcckmeldungen mit Lebensweisheit und Humor. Jeder Aufenthalt in diesem wunderbaren Atelier f\u00fchrt dazu, dass ich nicht nur die Dinge \u00fcber Kunst und Keramik lerne, die ich schon immer wissen wollte (oder von denen ich gar nicht ahnte, dass es sie gibt), sondern auch \u00fcber das Leben.
