One 30-minute break as well as 2 breaks of 5-minutes each are planned per day.
4 to 6 participants.
Price: 115 Euro per person plus costs for the model (divided between the participants).
The participants of the current week courses will receive a 15 Euro discount.
Under direction and with assistance we work by model, with oil paint on canvas or with pencil, charcoal, etc. on paper. The easels, painting palette, painting materials, pencils, and charcoal will be provided. Oil paint, canvas, drawing paper can be brought along or purchased in the studio.
1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Short 5 to 10-minute sketching sequences to loosen the hand and stimulate the perception.
2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Break. You can visit a nearby snack bar or eat brought-along snacks.
2:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
Long working sequences with short breaks.
5:15 – 5:30 p.m.
We examine the numerous steps of image composition within the topic of portraits, resp. nudes:
from format alignment in relation to the subject/motif, components of the image composition (line and range, contrasts, weighting lighter and darker elements, expressing calmness or tension)
via choice and creation of the coloring by mixing the colors (relation and effect of warm and cold hues) and application of various painting techniques (brush, spatula)
to the elaborate detail work in relation to the effect of the picture in its entirety and harmony
